Kurdish community engagement at Nursi Foundation
The Visiting Group, a key initiative of the Nursi Foundation of Canada, has been dedicated to supporting newly arrived families and individuals in need since its establishment. Its primary objective is to conduct regular visits to newcomers, offering comprehensive support as they navigate life in Canada.
These visits provide guidance on accessing essential services, understanding Canadian institutions, and adjusting to a new cultural environment. Simultaneously, the group encourages families to preserve their cultural and religious heritage, recognizing its importance in maintaining identity and community cohesion. This initiative not only ease the settlement process but also helps build a strong, supportive and culturally vibrant society.
