What We Teach
Our Quran classes are specifically tailored for beginners who want to learn how to read the Quranic Arabic script, with no prior knowledge of the language required. The course content includes:
The primary goal of our classes is to teach students to read the Quran fluently. This includes:
Recognizing Arabic Letters: Introducing the Arabic alphabet, focusing on how each letter is pronounced and written in Quranic script.
Word Formation: Helping students recognize common words and phrases in the Quran, which they will encounter regularly during their studies.
Reciting Quranic Verses: Progressing to reading full Quranic verses with accuracy, practice, and repetition to ensure confidence in recitation.
Tajweed is essential for reciting the Quran as it was revealed, and our classes provide:
Makharij (Pronunciation Points): Understanding where and how to pronounce each Arabic letter.
Tajweed Rules: Teaching students the rules of Tajweed, including elongation (Madd), nasal sounds (Ghunna), pauses, and other key pronunciation rules.
Practical Recitation: Students will practice reciting Quranic verses with the guidance of our volunteer teachers to improve accuracy and fluency in Tajweed.
